Mostly fixed type Gas detection system have Monitor unit placed in control room or at designed area. As it’s a safety system, customers often need an additional display. which they want to mount at Security department of the plant. But most conventional gas detection system come with only repeat alarm annunciation and not with actual repeater panel which can display gas conc. as their master monitor.

Super Toxic Gases like Silane, Diborane, NF3, TEOS, PH3, HCL, NH3, Cl2 etc get generated during the process of Solar cell / Semi conductor manufacturing. These gases are very combustible / toxic, thus need to be detected in very low concentration. Most of the detectors available in the market cannot be recalibrated and instead require sensor replacement, this works out very expensive.

Monitoring Combustible gases like LPG and Toxic gases like Carbon Monoxide (CO) in ventilation system of Petrochemical, Steel or any other industry, provides many challenges. Stable and accurate gas reading is not achieved due to high flow rate of air sample. Zero drift is the most common problem faced.

To measure Leakage of Combustible / Flammable gases in range of 0-100% LEL using Catalytic or IR sensor is standard Industry method. But few highly combustible gases like Hydrogen, Methane etc need to be detected in low range of PPM to give early warning and at the same time there is need to measure leak in range of % LEL also. For doing the same 2 different sensors are required.

Fumigation is standard procedure to eliminate Pests from Export/Import Consignments, Commodities, Aircarfts etc. The Most common fumigating agents used are Methyl Bromide (MBr) and Phosphine (Ph3). Even for Humans these Fumigants as very toxic, thus there is always a concern that after Fumigation process the remnant fumigants may affect health of Humans. This is very valid and wide spread concern of Fumigation Industry.

The Sampling type gas detection system or the pump type gas detectors are generally used when the sample needs to be drawn or conditioned from special environment. Users of these systems were facing problem for calibration as pressurized gas cans cannot be used. The gas cans force feed the calibration gas to the sampling system which is not recommended for calibration.

The disposable calibration gas cans available in India come with Spindle valves mounted on the top of the canister. Due to this Spindle valve the gas flowing out of the Gas can varies. The flow keeps dropping every few seconds. This makes it mandatory to rotate the spindle valve and adjust the flow rate. Due to this continuous adjustment hands free or single person calibration is not possible. Also regular adjustment wastes lot of expensive calibration gas.

Mounting of LPG Gas Leak Detectors for Aerosol filling plant is very tricky. The problem of Gas sensor failure on routine basis for LPG Gas detection system is commonly observed in Aerosol industry. As LPG Gas leak sensors are expensive, the reduced life forces plant users to stay away from installing LPG Gas leakage detection system.

Client was using Foreign make Chlorine Leak Detector with Solid state sealed Electrochemical sensor . As the client was manufacturer of Chlorine gas, frequent leakages / presence of gas was routine in the plant. Due this the sealed Electrochemical sensor was getting consumed frequently. The replacement frequency of sensor was high and thus cost of maintenance of system was very high.

During proprietary process customer was facing problem in measuring Oxygen content in Centrifuge. The problem was presence of Solvent vapors that was reducing the life of Oxygen sensor drastically. Frequent replacement was not only proving expensive but draining on maintenance recourses.
